When you create an account on InterviewPickle, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication provider information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.

When you make a payment, your payment information is processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details, bank account numbers, or other sensitive financial information. We receive transaction confirmations including amount paid, payment ID, and timestamp.

We also collect usage data including pages visited, learning progress, and feature interactions to improve the Platform. This data is associated with your account and stored securely.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve your account and the Platform
  • Process payments and manage your subscription status
  • Track your learning progress across sessions and devices
  • Send essential account-related emails (welcome, payment confirmation, password reset)
  • Improve the Platform based on aggregated usage patterns
  • Prevent fraud and abuse of the Platform
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send marketing or promotional emails unless you explicitly opt in.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore) with encryption at rest and in transit. Your progress data is also stored locally in your browser (localStorage) for offline access and performance. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption, Firebase Security Rules, and secure server-side authentication.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Google Firebase — Authentication and database storage
  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — Application hosting
  • Cloudflare — DNS and CDN services

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to persist your authentication state and learning progress. We do not use tracking cookies, third-party analytics cookies, or behavioral advertising technologies. Essential cookies may be used by our hosting and authentication providers for the functioning of the service.

6. AI-Generated Content & Data

Portions of the educational content on this platform are generated with AI assistance and reviewed by humans. Your personal data is not used to train AI models. Your learning progress and usage data are used solely for improving your experience on the Platform.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information (e.g., payment records for tax and accounting purposes, which may be retained for up to 7 years).

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data held by us
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Export your progress data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
  • Withdraw consent for data processing (where applicable)

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

10. International Users

The Platform is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
